A married employee, making $100,000, is being transferred from Cleveland, Ohio to New York.
Corporate policy provided two home-finding trips (maximum 7 days) during which the transferee and family would need to select a new home from all the potential commutable suburbs in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York based on housing requirements, budget, school needs, lifestyle and social focus.
One of our Intrepid New Yorker consultants was retained prior to departure.
The search field was narrowed to four towns that could be a potential match.
The town and home selection were accomplished over a three-day visit during the first home finding trip.

The Intrepid New Yorker's Testimonials Tell the Whole Story

Corporations consistently go over budget on temporary housing because overtaxed HR employees don't have the time to ferret out the better deals.
They think the only options are expensive residential hotels and corporate housing facilities.
With over eight years experience discovering alternative approaches for short-term stays, The Intrepid New Yorker consistently comes up with more appropriate housing at lower prices.

A VIP executive and his spouse, on assignment to NYC from London, had a school dilemma: the selection of a school with academic standards rigorous enough to enable their children to comfortably reassimilate into the British school system upon completion of the assignment.
The spouse wanted to settle in urban Manhattan, not the suburbs, wanting her family to have an international, urban experience.
Unfortunately, prior to retaining The Intrepid New Yorker, she had been given misinformation and had been told that her best school options were only in the suburbs.
After a frustrated week in the suburbs (not pleased with the suburban lifestyle she had seen) and confused about school options, she was ready to tell her spouse's company that the relocation would not work and was ready to cancel the assignment.
The Intrepid New Yorker was retained.
We identified at least four excellent schools in Manhattan that would meet her requirements. Appointments were arranged for the next day.
A British tutor who could fill in any academic gaps, if necessary, was also identified in order to allay any and all possible concerns.

The Intrepid New Yorker's Testimonials Tell the Whole Story

An entry level professional with a maximum budget of $1250 a month for an apartment. She had a frustrating weekend using brokers who showed her apartments in Manhattan that were either unlivable or unaffordable.
Next, she tried the option of looking in Brooklyn and Hoboken, New Jersey. The brokers she contacted claimed to have no available inventory.
She would have had to come back for a second home-finding trip, which would have placed her way over the allocated relocation budget.
She had seen perhaps 2% of the available inventory, utilizing brokers who did not accurately explain their territory coverage. She was unaware of the fact that there are over 18,000 brokers in NYC and no Multiple Listing Service. As a direct consequence, brokers do not share their inventory and many specialize in specific buildings, areas and price ranges.
The Intrepid New Yorker was retained.
We set her up with NYC real estate agents who specialize in her price range, type of apartment and desired communities.
She found a 1 bedroom apartment in Brooklyn for $950 per month within 24 hours of retaining our services.

QUANTIFIED SAVINGS WITH INTREPID NEW YORKER ASSISTANCE:
